Andrew Wommack’s journey began with a life-changing encounter with God on March 23, 1968. Though born again at eight, he later realized he had fallen into self-righteousness. Expecting rebuke, he was instead overwhelmed by God’s love, reshaping his faith. Shortly after, he was drafted into the Army and sent to Vietnam, where he grew even closer to God.
In 1976, Andrew launched his first Gospel Truth radio broadcast. By 1978, Andrew Wommack Ministries was incorporated, expanding through radio and cassette tapes. In 1994, he founded Charis Bible College in Colorado Springs, blending biblical teaching with practical ministry training. Television followed in 2000, taking the Gospel Truth program worldwide.
The ministry grew rapidly. In 2002, it acquired a 110,000-square-foot facility, and in 2009, God provided 157 acres in Woodland Park, now The Sanctuary. Key developments followed, including The Barn, a new headquarters, and a state-of-the-art auditorium. Today, AWM and Charis Bible College reach millions, sharing God’s love and the balance of grace and faith.

Founder and President
Andrew and Jamie Wommack, married for over 50 years, founded Andrew Wommack Ministries in 1978 and Charis Bible College in 1994. Andrew shares the Gospel worldwide through conferences, Charis Bible College, and his TV show The Gospel Truth, emphasizing God’s unconditional love and grace.
Billy Epperhart
CEO
Billy Epperhart began ministry in 1978 as a pastor. As a real estate CEO, he managed a multimillion-dollar portfolio across five markets. A speaker and author, he now leads AWM, Charis, and Truth & Liberty. His nonprofits, WealthBuilders and Tricord Global, help people use wealth for good.
Mike and Carrie Pickett
Executive Vice Presidents
Mike and Carrie Pickett spent 16 years as missionaries in Russia. Carrie, a 1999 Charis graduate, launched a Charis campus there, while Mike led AWM Russia. Now executive VPs of Charis, they teach and equip leaders through God’s Word.
